I know everyone here wants the most "realistic" experience possible. I found this over on another board, thought it might help a lot of people with their "tweaking". I haven't posted much but i've been following this extremely (almost ridiculously) long slider thread. I guess you could call me nuts, but i was curious as to the stats everyone posted and how they matched up against the real NFL. So i went back and read thrrough the thread again. One thing that popped out at me is that there seems to be too many int's. I was surprised more people didn't notice this. In my opinion i think the cpu int slider needs to be brought down a tad. The reason why i think this? Above are the NFL averages for 2003, and as you can clearly see each game averages about 1 interception. Which makes a lot of sense, when's the last time you saw a qb throw more than 2 int's? If you think about it...it really doesn't happen a lot.

Unless you are Brett Favre in a playoff game. :y4:

Thanks for the stats though. I'll use these in comparison with my Chargers Franchise to see how they line up against each other.

Re: Some observations...

While I applaud his work, I think it would have turned out better if he made sliders to reflect how the stats fall in the game and not in the real NFL. What I mean is sim a season a few times and find out what the averages are in game as opposed to the real NFL. You really can't compare the NFL to the game. :shrugs:

I don't think sliders affect CPU vs CPU play, do they?

I think that's what he used to get the CPU aspect of his sliders. If you'll notice the cpu sliders never change.

I agree with you completely about not being able to compare the NFL to a video game.

Isn't that what the great slider search is for though? Statistics that come close to representing NFL statistics?

If the average number first downs for a team is 18.3/game, then don't we want sliders that will allow us to get with two first downs either way of that number?
