Re: Jay's Sliders - Final Release

OK here's the stats for my first game with CPU RB Ability at 17. I like.

Brunell had a terrible game because of the constant Ravens pressure, and Boller threw 4 picks (3 user picks all EARNED, and one tipped ball that was just a great play by Sean Taylor to make the pick).

Brunell 17/40 166 1TD 1INT
Boller 14/27 265 2TD 4INT 59 Long (Smoot burnt)

Portis 21/149 1TD 48LONG 66yds after 1st contact (The TD was awesome)
Betts 2/5

Lewis 28/95 lost 11 yards on 3 different loss carries so this day looks almost perfect. He just didn't seem as superhuman, but still broke quite a few tackles. 72 Yards after 1st contact is right about where Jamal should be on a 95 yard day, at least in my opinion.

C. Taylor 3/24 had a 16 yard run on a 2nd down when Jamal was knocked out for a play near the end of the game. Amazing run for a 16 yarder, but well earned.

My defense had 6 tackles for loss and 6 passes defensed, with Arrington leading the way with 11 tackles, which he should do. Barrow also had 8 and Sean Taylor 6 - The defensive lineman averaged around 3 tackles a piece.

Re: Jay's Sliders - Final Release

Anyways, I think I'm going to keep mine personally at 17, I think it will help to keep the lesser backs in check. At least now I think we're to the point where it's just a personalization for everyone because I'm sure any range between 17-20 will work. That was honestly the best game I've had yet, with the RB Ability at 17. It felt like I was playing the Ravens.

We're like "this" close to as good as it's going to get this year.

Re: Jay's Sliders - Final Release

Just played Ravens( me) vs. Cowboys.

It was a fun game but I too will be trying CPU running at 17 or 18. but if they dont put up good carries then i will switch it. I just thought they ran just a little bit to well against me. They had 116 as a team. And george averaged 4.0 yds per carry.

One thing i have found strange is the amount of picks by LB's i have 8 picks in 3 games and 6 of them i have had with LB's 2 with Ray Lewis. 5 of those were user picks in zone coverage so that may have something to do with it.

I really like how I these have been playing and will try the Running a bit later.

Nice job Jay

Well in that game I just played I believe Lewis had a long of like 24 against me and only 1 20 yard run. When my better defenders such as Arrington would go to tackle him, the game reacted better and usually he'd make the tackle, whereas a worse defender, he might have slipped away - but it would slow him enough for other defenders to get to the play, which it seemed to lack a bit on 20.

I'm going to play the first game of my franchise in a minute. I'm the Lions, and Anthony Thomas won the job in camp for Chicago. So he's a back with good power, but not as skilled as Jamal. I'll play that on 17 RB Ability, and report back.

Re: Jay's Sliders - Final Release

OK, just played Detroit/Chicago, first game of franchise.

Grossman was injured early in the 2nd quarter.

Grossman 4/9 78 0 TD 0 INT 1 SACK
J. Quinn 10/25 159 2TD 1INT 0 SACK 40 Long

Thomas 20/62 1 TD 3.0 AVG 10 LONG 32 After1stContact
Jones 3/11 3.8 AVG
Johnson 1/3

Gage 5/91 1 TD
Terrell 4/91 1 TD
Clark 2/32
Thomas 2/13
Berrian 1/10

Harrington was under constant pressure all day from Urlacher, Briggs, but mainly Ogunleye.

Harrington 24/54 290 yds 1 TD 3 INT 4 SACK

Jones 24/55 2.2 AVG
Pinner 3/8 1 TD 2.6 AVG

Williams 11/121
Jones 4/47
Streets 3/63
Rogers 2/19
Dante Hall 2/13
Schlesinger 1/13
Fitzsimmons 1/14

Well it was a great game that only got close at the end. I was down 10 points with 1:10 to go in the 4th and got a field goal, with one timeout left. I recovered the onside kick, hit 2 big passes to Streets and was first and 10 at the 12 yard line with 7 seconds and no timeouts left. Dante Hall proceeded to drop 2 touchdown passes that would have tied the game at 27.

Bears win 27-20.

Yes, my quarterback numbers sucked but I take the blame for that. I was under a lot of heat and didn't have time to make many reads. Jones also didn't run well leaving me in a lot of 3rd and 6 and 3 and 8 situations.

All in all it was a good game, and the CPU did try to run the ball still. 75 total yards and a TD is a good expectation if Anthony Thomas was Chicago's starter so I'm happy with that.

Did you lower just RA to 17 or did you lower RB to 17 as well? I will try these slider as soon as I get a chance. They do sound awesome.
