Overlay idea for football or any sports game

Heres an idea I have for future sports games. The mod community comes out with some great overlays for PC sports titles that emulate network broadcast overlays. I think it would be great if Madden would have selectable overlays that would look like CBS, FOX or ESPN broadcasts. You could go to the options menu and select for example "A BAR STYLE" overlay, "CORNER", etc for each game. Yeah they couldnt use the FOX or CBS logos etc but they could still have the EA Sports Logo with a Fox Bar type graphic you could use for NFC games, and a corner score (like on this years games) for AFC games. But this would add a lot to the atmosphere and all games would look a little different. What do you think of this idea?

I've always wanted sports games to do this. I don't like when all broadcasts look the same on a game.

That means that they would have to put extra work getting each license authentic and then they would have to buy the rights for each license and in the end, it's really not worth all the trouble to do.

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)

You dont understand what Im saying. They wouldnt have to put the actual Fox logo up there, they could still use the EA Sports Logo like they have now, just mimic the styles of the "Fox Bar" or the "CBS corner logo". IN fact the current score overlay looks like CBS now.

He's asking for multiple presentation styles. It's not a bad idea and shouldn't be terribly hard to incorporate in the game. I'm sure it's not on EA's priorities list though.

If they would just make the game modifiable, we wouldn't have to worry about things like this. I mean, look at the work people have done on the NBA Live, FIFA, and NHL series.

I think it's a cool idea, you can really add a little flavor with different overlays. Not terribly hard to implement like others said above.

And I love FOX's score overlay. They did it perfectly, almost. If they had the logo instead of the team's abbreviation (in funky colors), it would be a lot better.

I like FOX's scoreboard except for all the noises it makes. THey used to have the logos for the teams not the abbreviations in their colors.
