Juke moves

I have just started playing this game again and was wondering if the juke moves or spins ever work in the open field. It seems like every time I try to pull them off I get drilled.

Any insight would be appreciated.

I find if I start to go one way and then spin out of the tackle the opposite direction it seems to work quite well. Depends on your timing though. You can get good practise just by playing the rushing mini game.
