The Real Madden 2006??

Has EA even said if they were going to release Madden at launch for Xbox 2. The way they act, they will probably wait for the PS3.

I agree to a point, but I don't think that's the point being made. For example, I complain about Ticketmaster's outrageous surcharge fees when I buy a ticket to a concert, but since they are the only way for me to get the ticket I do it anyway even though I want to boycot them.

I think those people are getting "feed up" with what they percieve to be an annual surcharge for a repackaged Madden 2001. Graphics for new games are blowing many people away, but then you look at Madden (which I play religously during football season) and he see small baby steps each yr. I think that's be basis for the frustration is that they know they will end up buying Madden and EA knows they will still buy Madden so EA can delay redoing the graphics engine until Next Gen machines to maximize their profits.

I was talking more long term and I think gamers should be upset that it took EA this long to fix a fundemental aspect of the game. At least 2k was working towards fixing the long drops but Madden for the past generation didnt do a thing. This is long over due IMO.

Will this years Madden be finally realistic? They have had eleven long years to improve how much longer will it take. If your happy with the pace its improving at that good for you. I'm not happy with how long it takes them to make a game.

to those guys that give an excuse on how the graphics are the same because of the next generation consoles coming out.. well what about splinter cell. UBI is gonna have splinter cell 4 coming out for both now and next gen consoles but they didnt lag it in the graphics department just because the new consoles are coming out. they put normal mapping and improved like crazy over parts 1 and 2. unlike EA they just left the engine as is.

And you know SC 4 will be improved how? Funny how you can know that even though, one, SC:CT just came out, and two SC 4 won't be out until Q4 of next year at the earliest. You must be God if you can predict something that far away.

Regardless, more power to them if they do. I could care less about the graphics on a PS2 or XBox game. It won't mean anything to me once XBox 360 and PS3 come out. It won't matter to the majority of the people on this board. The people that care that much about graphics, will already have an XBox 360 or PS3, and the people who don't, I would hope realize that companies won't put as much effort into a "B" level system.

That will keep our fans going for a while.. Hell we own everthing.. Why bother?? If the Graphics didn't change what makes you think the animation will?? Sorry but most likely that will be the same too, with maybe an extra different looking tackle animation here and there.. Most of ya'll will deny it, but when you get the 2006 version in your hands and it's the same thing as 2005, you'll know what I mean.. Most of you will still deny it like always because your die hard Madden fans, but someday you will realize I have had enough of the same old thing.. I was a die hard Maddden fan too, until Espn 2k series opened my eyes.. Regardless of what company creates a Football game, if it's realistic, looks good, and well created, I'm not going to be stupid and close my eyes and be in denial... Well I guess will continue playing espn 2k5 or hopefully maybe the New generic Espn 2k6, even with no License this game kicks ***! Maybe thats why EA got scared and tried to License everything in the world!!??

The Madden faithful keep saying wait till next gen.. Well Next gen is almost here.. Truthfully I think Madden on the Xbox 2 will look like 2k5 with 720p res. I doubt a Madden launch for the box2 with be that big of an upgrade.. & EA knows they have a huge fan base.. They don't need to make their games look great like VC, cause VC still needs to gain an audience & a share of the gaming market..
