I know alot weights on saturday, but if madden next gen is an x-box 360 launch title or one that will be out around the holidays I would probably not even bother with madden for x-box or ps-2. Does anyone else feel the same way?

EA will make a killing! People will buy the regular version in august...then buy the nextgen one in Nov.Maybe they will have some kind of a discount if you buy the one in Aug?

Honestly, I wasn't going to get Madden this year either way. In my opinion, Madden yearly updates haven't warranted a purchase by me. I'm no fanboy. I started gaming on Madden on the Sega Genesis, and 2004 was the first year since that I didn't pick it up. But IMO, EA hasn't pushed the envelope since the first 2 versions of Madden in the current generation, and thus I haven't purchased.

Having said all that non-fanboy-disclaimer crap, I'm DEFINITELY going to pick up the next generation version of Madden. That looks unbelievable, and I would assume addresses many of the issues I have with the current generation of Madden games...as it's gotta be a whole new engine. Hell, even if it doesn't, that looks too freakin good not to get

So to recap: No on current gen Madden; HELL yes on xbox 360 version

I agree. I want to save the 50 bucks and put it towards my brand new, purty xbox 360 and nextgen Madden.

I'm definitely going to hold out for Xbox 360 but alot of people will not. EA will make a ton of money on all systems. The Sony allegiance is strong among many and they will never go the darkside. Then you have Xbox gamers who will buy the current gen for the start of the NFL season, plus the nexgen version when it comes out.

Probably get it on PSP if its coming out on there... Will hold off on Xbox version.
