In all of that, did you ever stop and think about how Madden's cut scenes NOW are done using the in-game engine? The player introductions, all that good stuff... your "cut scene" graphics are done using the actual on field graphics.

Where does that leave your argument now? If anything, it makes a stronger case as to why these are the actual graphics of the game. I don't see why it's so hard to believe. Just look at the jump from PS1 to PS2... that's all the proof you need that it's possible.

So much skepticism... I guess it's better to err on the side of caution... But I don't see why people doubt the next gen consoles will have graphics like this... Imagine the Half Life2 engine put to use on a football field.

This is all very possible, and will be a reality sooner than you think.

Thank you Wart. I knew it from the very first pic. Call me a skeptic, but I think EA is trying create a diversion with this because of the product they're bringing to the X-Box and PS2 this year. So what better way to take the heat off from A. Being the only game with the NFL License, and B. Again not improving the graphic quality for the now generation of games, and C. From the looks of things, just adding a few features to Madden 2006. Think about it. Why all the fuss over the next gen games when they are releasing the now gen games in August? What about those games? Think about this also...They're going to show on Saturday during the draft videos of the next gen games when they haven't even shown videos for the now gen games. I wonder why. Again, these are just my opinions, so there's no need for anyone to get upset with them. As I said in an earlier post, I will just wait and see.

When have you ever seen anything on TV for Madden in April? Ever?

And why is it so hard to believe EA is pushing Madden so hard and so early, right after they shelled out MILLIONS for the NFL deal? Does everyone not realize this is their big money maker, and if people don't buy the game, things won't look too good in EA-land...?

They have to do whatever it takes to get this game to sell... it's that simple.

I think you answered your own question: because the focus is now shifting from current gen to next gen. They still make Madden for ps1, but do people get upset because all the focus is put on the ps2 version? No. It's the same now. Ea is probably start to put more time into the new systems, but is still at least willing to not completely forget about those who will still own a ps2, xbox, or gamecube. I can't really blame them...

Why cant people relize THE FURTURE IS NOW!....

THIS IS NOT 5 YEARS AGO WHERE WE WOULD THINK THIS IS IMPOSSIBLE......WHY DONT SOME PEOPLE RELIZE THAT GRAPHICS WE WILL SEE WILL BE AMAZING?.

I get tired of hearing "O naww...thats a CG or cutscene..No way they can make that in game"...ITS NEXT GEN FOR G** SAKE.....WHY CANT THE PLAYERS WALK LIKE REAL NFL PLAYERS...WHY CANT THE PLAYERS PUMP THEIR FIST UP WITHOUT IT BEING A CUTSCENE?

I just dont understand why so many people are doubting all of this next gen stuff and saying "Nawww...its only CG..No way will it look like that when the game is released"

Because the game is new, they are excited about it and they feel it will blow your freakin' mind. We've seen current gen already and it's been pretty much the same since 2001 there's nothing to show really.

I wonder why you wonder. How else is EA supposed to get everyone's pants wet and stir up excitement about their brand new game if they don't show it. This kicks current gen's a**. They chose the draft because there is no bigger stage in April for the NFL. Current gen has already locked in it's customers, why waste big time money to air a video on current gen.
