OS @ E3 Madden 2006 Impressions

I'm not surprised that EA slowed down the gamespeed some, as it's likely necessary to implement the vision cone (which, incidentally, is the only new feature that I'm genuinely excited about). It would be nice if EA was able to incorporate some defensive headtracking to help cut down on defenders jumping on routes that they aren't looking at and would make tactics like throwing at defenders who have turned and aren't tracking the ball more effective.

But the Superstar mode...I just don't know what EA was thinking.

i think my little 10 year old cousin will have a good time with that new SS mode. It's actually warranted, really.

No, I think the triggers are used for the vision passing, so that you can quickly cycle from one side of the field to the other.

So far, I'm unimpressed with what I'm hearing. I thought the passing game was pretty damn good last year. I'm a Madden loyalist, but I haven't read anything from other sites that says 'wow'.
