That could also mean a lack of options such as franchise mode. I doubt it will happen tho, but the PS2 had to go through some 'baby steps' as well.

From a True Sports fan perspective...The games are coming along nicely..Impressive visuals from EA....I just hope they fix the body proportions of the players in Live and Madden....Even with those gorgeous visuals you can see that, this is still an issue...what is up with the NBA Live designers and Madden designers not being able to add a waistline and some hips...lol...

Next Gen we should get a actual look from them...I really hope they fix that...because NBA Live looked nice...

And the crowds looked great in Fifa 06 and they looked like Crap on Live...only the front row was 3D if you pause the video...all the rest of the Arena was cardboard cut out with no motion...Come on EA you getting there....step..up..

Quite the contrary. According to JJ Allard (SP?), developers for the 360 console will have the software advantage of using XNA which allows them to make games at a speedier process without sacrificing game quality. So even if they were to start from scratch, if they use XNA, we should still be in for a good game. Also it should be noted that one of the highly anticipated XNA capabilities is the use of real-time, life like physics engine taking in account such variables as weight, speed, gravity, and force.

The jury's still out, but it's still looking good so far.

One would hope that in this day and age, EA's preperation and the general maturity of the game developing industry will allow for game transitions to keep key base features such as the franchise mode and what not.

I don't understand why they can't port it myself - it isn't like the franchise modes on current generation hardware can be improved by simply jumping to next gen like graphics and physics can. Just the exact same franchise modes in the new next gen game would do me fine.

I'd even be willing to buy FIFA, even though I'm not much of a soccer fan. I did enjoy playing World Cup 98 on the original PS I think it was.

NFS: Most Wanted looks absolutely sick. I like the addition of the cop cars again, that's why I loved NFS: Hot Pursuit 2 so much.

Other then that, NBA Live looked the best on there.
