Yea, your right....im not trying to bash the game mode or the game (i love Madden) , it just irks me when EA will shove this stuff in our face instead of making the "football" game better.

I'll play it for the purpose which it was intended to be played...fun. Besides, I welcome most modes that are fresh and different from the conventional stuff (i.e First Person Football).

It sounds like a usual EA shiny object that they put into the game just to sell more copies, instead of deepening the franchise mode or presentation, which everyone agrees the game probably needs. If Superstar Mode was somehow linked or joined with the franchise mode, maybe I would consider....But I will not buy a football game to play a RPG-type game mode!
Ill probably do alot of different careers, some imported from ncaa, some made up like myself. Or, I might create barry sanders, or other retired players and relive their careers again... that would make race for the heisman, and superstar mode more interesting after you do it a couple of times with made up created players.

Re: Superstar Mode

I would play it if only I could be a real NFL rookie like Pac Man Jones or Aaron Rodgers

What do I want to be a made up person for?

Do you play beyond 4 years on NCAA, or use the Madden generated draft?

Re: Superstar Mode

it sounds interesting...but the question is, will it be immersive or feel scripted?

Well from the sounds of it, it doesnt look too scripted YOU dont have to take part in the movie roles and stuff like that, I'm sure you can just contact your agent at your will with various options on what to talk to them about.

Re: Superstar Mode

I've always been intrigued by "Career Mode" type features, but I have yet to play one. The only one I know of is in 989's MLB series, which is PS2 exclusive.

So right now, I'm pretty stoked to see how "SuperStar Mode" is going to pan out. EA/Tiburon hit a nice spot with me with allowing to import a player from NCAA '06 or NFL Street 2, which I think is really cool and innovative.

Basically, I want to see how it all unfolds. Plus, I really would like to see my guy get to the Hall of Fame. Just to get through multiple seasons would be great.
