Madden 2006 is FUN

For all of my nitpicking (I am a very analytical person, sometimes too much) with the Cone, some AI issues, lack of an extreme makeover, shortage of excitement in the commentary/presentation department and the ever-looming anticipation of next-gen...%$!@ this game is FUN.

Maybe it's because I took a 2-year hiatus from the Madden series, or maybe it's just because I needed a change of pace, or maybe it's because I was hanging around 100 Madden-lovers and it rubbed off. But man, these last 2 days have been a serious BLAST. If it makes any sense (and so what if it doesn't), I feel like I've played better games, but I've never had more FUN.

Everything about Madden says: "Have Fun." The cartoonish grapics: fun. The Madden color commentary: fun(ny). The "touchdown" graphic when you socre: fun. Even the vision cone: fun. I mean, come on, if people are throwing 3 picks a game (no one used to the cone yet) and still cheesing ear-to-ear, what is that called? FUN.

I can't beleive I wrote this, but it was: take a guess.

Anyway, yeah, I agree with you inkcil, this game seems to be more fun than previous years....or maybe it is the break<--didn't buy last year's madden
