Slide Protection Running ?

So slide protection is basically there for the blocking for pass plays, but has anyone had any success sliding the line to the Right if you are running the ball to the Right for example?

Re: Slide Protection Running ?

i don't see why it would make a difference... if you're running right, then isn't your o-line already blocking right? so basically calling a slide right shouldn't make any difference...

i LOVE this feature for pass protection though.

I saw blitz coming hard to one side on a run so I slide protection to that side and they picked up blitz and opened a hole to that side.

That's what I was thinking too, maybe slide protection is mainly to pick up blitzes then.
