1st round picks in this game are quite valued

I was playing around in my Bills franchise looking to trade and I saw a couple of interesting potential trades:

I had traded Moulds and a 1st round pick in a package to the Pack for Javon Walker, and they would make the deal....then I deleted Moulds and the Pack still would have traded Walker for a lower first round pick....

Same thing happened when I offered only a 1st rounder for Antonio Gates and they took it too.....

Interesting 1st round pick logic....

The CPU has loved First Round picks ever since you could trade them.

I know - I just haven't really tried to make too many trades in my time with Madden, but I just might swing a deal to pick up Gates and Walker - both would be semi-realistic based on the fact that Gates is still a contract hold-out and Walker himself is not happy with his contract lol.....

I am not sure if this still works but last year it did. I was broncos and on my way to superbowl. I could trade my 1st round pick which would be in the 30's for the 1st overall pick, straight across. Could do this with any of the picks. It was pretty cheap so I tried to restrain from doing it but it might work again.

That's the way it's supposed to be... I'd say that in real life, teams would go no more than a 3rd round pick and an average NFL player for T.O.

1st rounders are very valuable.

Yeah but the problem is teams aren't going to give up those really good guys straight up for a 1st rounder. If you have a disgruntled guy or a salary cap problem, you would do it, but that's probably the only time you'd see it.

I don't know if anyone else but me and my friend Joe noticed this, but in years past the CPU valued lower picks higher than higher picks.

For example, if your team is going undefeated and has the #32 pick in the first round, you can trade that pick alone to the leagues worst team to get the #1 overall pick and usually their 3rd rounder too.

I did the same exact thing all the time. Right before the end of the season, going into the playoffs I would trade for the number one overall. You have to do it befroe the playoffs start though, or it wont work. I havent tried it this year yet tho.
