Yeah, but they didn't have either of those licenses, let alone pay millions upon millions for them.

I honestly see them phasing out Madden soon, going with the NFL Football '07 trademark, with maybe a "sponsored by ESPN" tagline or something...

Madden is going to get phased out. He just HAS to. I can see them buying his contract just so no other competitor can use the name "Madden" as well.

Madden signed a multi-year extension with EA earlier this summer.
