How do you move the cone?

The R button tap and pass or move it with the Right Analog stick?

Im seeing alot of people getting frustrated with the cone. You guys really need to quit using the R button meathod of switching the cone and just use the Right Analog stick to move it. I have played about 20 games now and that thing dosnt have to be perfect everytime to complete a pass. Im using the Bengals and Palmer has a small cone and im complteting 57% of my passes and only getting sacked twice a game. You also really have to read the D, change backs and TE's to blockers if need be and change your primary reciever when you need to.

If its a quarterback with a small cone I'll switch with the r trigger, but with a quaterback like Peyton Manning I'll just swing the right stick because I can get more than half of the field in my cone.

Always right thumbstick. It's easier to lead passes and throw in to open areas to have the reciever run to the pass.

You don't even need to move it with Manning.

I'm playing with Roethlesberger and I just use the right stick. I usually just swing it over and wait for the receiver to run into it. Seems to work fine.

Re: How do you move the cone?

Right trigger, I've tried swinging the cone with the R stick, just not into that way.

Re: How do you move the cone?

I USED to use the r-stick exclusively. That was before Trent Green went down for 9 weeks with a broken collarbone. I signed Vinny Testaverde, who has a decent cone, and had to play with Todd Collins also. I am learning the R-Trigger method of using the cone. It's a lot tougher, but more realistic to have a more difficult time passing with less talented QB's. Can't wait until Green gets back.
