Franchise won't save!!!

Well, Im in week 17 of my chise and my dynasty won't save after so. Everytime I go to save it says "save failed; card removed while saving:

Well, I went to my maxdrive, copied my franchise save to the max drive and reformated the memory card. I go back into franchise, try and save and the samething happens. So i sim through the 1st round of playoffs, samething happens. I exit franchise and save a roster and it works just fine!

Any idea on whats going on?

Have you tried:

1) Using a different memory card?
2) Using a different console?
3) Using a different game disk?

I would try all those. No idea what the issue is though.

Ill try another game, but I was able to save rosters on madden still and I only have 1 pstwo (slimline)

I don't have another memory card, is there a way I can use the Maxdrive as a memory card? I might just go get a new memory card and trade this one in if thats the case.

Dunno about the Maxdrive question, I've never used one. If you do pick up a new memory card, I'd recommend going with the official Sony one, regardless however much it costs; my Sony memory card has never failed on me, and I've had a PS2 since Christmas 2001.

Oh fo sho man, thats what Im using right now, a black sony one. First time its let me down.
