that since the 360 version is gonna take out Madden and Michaels (I think for the most part?) that EA may be heading in the direction of getting rid of the Madden tie in all together?

I know that *Madden* is a brand name and it's probably the most recognized name in gaming history but Madden cant live forever and I know he's alive and well and all but maybe, juuuuust maybe EA is looking in that direction. Not saying tha EA is thinking "Hey Maddens gonna croak someday...what would we do?"
But rather looking to the future in a general sense.

Especially since they have the exclusive rights to the NFL it would be the PERFECT opportunity to change the franchises name and not really have to worry about losing name recognition.

IMO, the Madden name is wearing thin and kinda limits the franchise. Well, maybe doesnt limit it so much but bringing in different broadcasters is a great and much needed thing I think.

I think next year they should change the name to *NFL Football 07*

I dunno, probably will be called Madden for a long time to come. Just thinking out loud I guess.
