I have this years Madden for X-Box and have been having problems recently.The game seems to freeze everytime I score a touchdown and Madden talks, not when Michaels talks just Madden. His voice will all of a sudden cut out and the game will eventually freeze before the XP is attempted, sometimes the game will come back but the majority of the time it will come up with a disc dirty or damaged error. Also when I go online and cycle with the L trigger and look at the scores of the games I played the game will freeze, oddly this does not happen when I cycle to it with the R trigger. Other than those two things the game plays fine. Now my question is this the disk or is my xbox going kaput? Games like Halo 2 play fine with no errors and I know its not that the lens is dirty. Any help would be appreciated. thanks!

I had similar problems with games doing funky stuff like that and it turned out to be my xbox. I traded the xbox in to EB and got a new one (the cool Halo green one : ) and paid just about an extra $75 bucks or so.

Take Madden back and try a new one and if it still has problems take that xbox and trade it in for a 360

It's the disc drive of the XBOX, it's likely you've got the old abandoned Thompson drives that came in the system. I was having the same problem and had to buy and install a new drive.

Ya you have to buy a new DVD Drive and put it in your xbox. Or call MS and they might fix it for free (if you say the right things)

I already got my Thompson Drive replaced by X-Box for free not too long ago, should I already have to get it replaced again?
