Topic.

Just thought I'd throw that question out there b/c currently, I've been having second thoughts on my X360 pre-order... I wanted it mostly for Madden, and that was the only title I was really interested in. But with the constant disappointing footage... I just don't think I'm going to pick it up.

Anyone else re-thinking their purchase b/c of the little improvement seen in Madden? (Again, I know we don't have enough info YET. I'm talking about your thoughts on how you feel TODAY.)

After looking at NBA 2k6 for the 360 though, I have to say, that will be the number one title I purchase on launch day. WOW. THAT'S the sort of thing I was expecting from Madden... not what we've seen so far.

Never had 2nd thoughts about my X360 pre order. Of course madden isn't a big reason why I'm getting one though. I pre ordered 2 games when I preordered my 360 back in August. I preordered Madden and Ghost Recon, two weeks ago I added NBA 2k6 and now after seeing the media on it, WOW. If I'm not satisfied with madden it'll go back in exchange for something else.

For most of the gaming community, I don't think Madden has ever been a system seller.

At some point, I plan on getting a 360, regardless of Madden's quality.

I dont think Madden 06 will be an X360 seller, but Madden 07 will be the one that will push me over the edge to pick up the 360.

I was pretty set on getting a 360 at launch and Madden was really the only title I was *certain* I'd get. But then came the disappointing footage and vague info, so I lost interest in getting the machine. If I'm going to be spending $500+ on a new system and games, I'd want the games to be worthy. It took the recent news/vids of PGR3 and NBA2k6 360 to pique my interest again. So far, those are the only two launch games worthy of next-gen hype imo. Ghost Recon may turn out to be good, but if it plays like the last GR with pretty graphics it won't be worth it. I want to see a Madden that's truly next gen, not a Madden that's only slightly better than the current gen Madden. Hopefully we'll get plenty of news from X05 this week; no more room for excuses.

Most of the footage shown are from early builds of it. I don't believe the actual product will be that disappointing, to be honest.

The rumor mill indicates that EA will be releasing some playablke Madden footage early this week...So before I count EA out on the graphics tip I wanna see how they stack up with 2k6...2k6 has set the bar hella high and word from EA is they are feeling like they just may outshine what we have seen from 2k6...I can't imagine that and if its true its a win win for gamers cause 2k6 looks phenomenal

t5o answer your question Madden is a system seller and it could be a system killer if EA does not come correct with the game. If Madden disappoints graphically alot of people will blame the 360 when that couldn't be further from the truth...If Madden disappoints graphically you can point the finger at EA and specifically Tiburon.

Unfortunately though the average gameer will be fooled into thinking that the 360 is the problem whicj=h may hurt 360 sales as people wait for the mythical magical ps3 to emerge
