Last night I was playing one of my franchise games, Bears vs Steelers. The CPU(Steelers) were up 7-0 and I had gotten into field goal range with 4 seconds or so in the half. I made the field goal but they called holding on me. The CPU accepted the penalty and it just went straight to halftime. I didn't get to re-kick or anything.

Is there a rule I don't know about or is that just not supposed to happen?

I may be wrong, but I'm pretty sure that's the correct call. A game (or half) can't end on a defensive penalty. I dont think there's a rule like that for an offensive penalty. So, if your kicking play ended with 00's on the clock, with a holding call, you're screwed.
