Since Madden 06 comes out for xbox 360 next month, and I am assuming there will be a launch title for ps3 next year, when and how will they snyc up the release for Madden 07? Will it be released in November of 06 or will it be one year (or so) from the release of the ps3 version? Also if 07 is released next summer (their usual release date) will the game suffer from a short production cycle?

Just some questions that I have.

Madden won't ship as 2007 with the ps3.

Madden 07 will come out as usual near the end of the summer months. Take a look back at when Xbox was released. A madden came out several months after that was still the old game, with just newer rosters.

I don't think PS3 will be seeing a Madden 06, in fact I am 100% sure that it won't.

Madden 07 will come out at the normal Madden release time, and if the PS3 is out by then (we don't know yet), than Madden 07 will probably be available on it as a port of the 360 version, otherwise 07 will come out on PS3 whenever the PS3 is released (if it's released later than late summer 06).

Let's also not forget the reports that the PS3 may not even be released in 2007 here in the United States. It's been speculated that Sony may wait and see how the 360 does on the market: ig Microsoft does well, Sony will shoot for their 2007 release point, if Microsoft doesn't do so well, we may not see the PS3 until early 2008...

I keep hearing a June 1, 2006 release date for the ps3, for they keep on seeing every single report that the Xbox is going to take over the market, so they want their product out sooner than later. For Xbox is already prompt for this release date........Halo 3 ships the same day......

Don't be surprised if the PS3 is released in the United States in September 06. Japan will get it in 2 quarter of 06.

Yeah...no one really knows when PS3 is coming out, so trying to guess when madden will come out for it is pointless.
