Also in his first post he says he sometimes see's something in the commercial but then NOT in the game. That to me says he feels they show you something in the commercial to get you hyped ...and then its not in the final product.

Back to my question ...i simnply asked if he insinuated EA for this ...i could care less if he did, didnt, just curious ..lol
Here's an example: The quarterback drops back and throws a bomb to a star receiver. The camera zooms into the receiver jumping up, battling with the cornerback or safety to catch the ball. Or the star running back plows into the endzone to score the game winning touchdown as the camera spins to show him at a different angle while zooming in. These are things that do not happen during normal gameplay. I use EA as an example, because we're talking about Madden. The most recent commercials are what stick in my mind. There are many other companies that practice the same type of advertising, but I can't remember the specifics of each commercial. I don't find anything wrong with it, but it is a little misleading.

I'm very tempted to put this on my pre-order list but I too, would like to see some more gameplay vids and impressions before I plunk down my $60.

Same for NBA Live

Guys,

It's the same logic that's applied to any type of commercial. Ever see a commercial for an S.U.V. where it's driving over rocks, water, snow, and sand? How many people will ACTUALLY be driving their vehicles in that type of environment? Very little...but the commercials are there to show you what the vehicle CAN do.

Ever get a toy as a kid, then cry to your parents because it "doesn't look like it did in the commercial"? Sound familiar?

These close up screen shots and videos are there to show us what sort of detail has been put into the product. It's designed to bring out the best in the game.

Simple marketing, and this tactic has been in use for years and years.

you know most understand the Logic, but some don't implement it, for instance i wanted to put that analogy of the toy that you had but you worded it better.
