WOW....Madden 360 is terrible!

While this is true to some extent, you are assuming that EA will produce a crap product regardless, which may or may not be the case. I myself am a 2k guy, and have been very angry toward EA in the past, and am not a kind of "wait till next year" kind of guy. I think what we as gamers really need to be worried about is Madden 2007, and what direction that goes in. I think people are being a little premature with freaking out so soon.

Did you buy madden 06 on the 360? I did, and im pissed. 60 bucks is alot of money to spend on crap. Im tired of hearing, "this is their first next gen game". Why should i have to keep waiting till next year? if thats the case, why release a game in the first place? Tom clancy Ghost recon knew they werent ready, and delayed it till later. EA only cares about cash, and release products all the time that arent ready. They no longer have competition, so its not like they are trying to get a product out before the other guys. Why is madden 2007 going to be better? The engine is built, they arent going to spend millions of dollars in order to go back and fix the engine; its not that easy. You will not see a vast improvement in the gameplay, as there is way too much else that needs to be done with the game; features, modes, presentation, etc. Those that keep saying next year are either blind or have not seen what ea has done in the past with madden.

I passed on the game specifically because EA has stripped all their 360 titles of the features that were on the previous consoles.

It's pretty disappointing when you see 2K sports get everything from their last gen games on X-Box 360 and EA totally can't do it...

I'm not worried because I suspect 2007 will be better, but it would have been nice to play 2006 on the 360...

you guys that are pissed b/c you spent $60 on a typical lazy EA game only have yourself to blame. EA will never change their ways if you guys still buy up there stuff. Madden is still one of the leading sellers on the 360 and the game is trash. As you say the player control is a step backwards, no good camera angles, terrible player interactions.....typical EA fluff and no depth or real improvements. EA needs to see a triple play 2002 or Nba live 2003 sales slump to get them off their lazy asses.

If you need to try a new version of EA football, either rent the game or buy it used so EA doesn't get your $$.

To me EA already nailed the coffin shut, when they proclaimed that the x360 was built from the ground up, which everyone but EA understood as a completely new game engine.

Sadly by releasing the 06 x360 junk, they pretty much have laid the roadmap for the 3rd generation of consoles (x360, ps3). That is of course if they will do as they always have with each new generation and that is to run the same engine 4-6 years in a row on the same generation of console. This time around they apparantly let their whole development apartment off and just more or less ported the 2nd generation console version in the last 3 weeks before release and thus not getting all of it over.

So do I have high hopes for 07 for the 3rd generation consoles? Not really. It will be the same flawed game engine, there will still be no physics engine and the only great new things will be bug fixes and the addition of all the things they left out this time around. It's really sad, but that is the impression I get when I think of Tiburon. Slackers.
