LOL I bought Madden PC ($20) from EB along with a 360 wired controller. I was so pumped at the thought of having a Xbox controller rumble and all. I installed the 360 drivers but I couldn't get it to work properly in Madden 05 no rumble etc. In fact the game just sees it as a gamepad. So I went back to my non rumble Logitech Dual Analog controller.

Did you get yours to work properly?

The rumble feature isn't supported on the PC version I don't think.

Yeah, no force feedback.

And the editing has its limitations - just roster/franchise stuff at the moment, not graphical stuff like faces, uniforms etc like every other EASports PC game. EA have done a lot of work making sure the Madden graphics files are secure.

But among the few things you can do on the PC thanks to editors is draft classes (not officially in the PC version without an editor), a draft simulator that redoes the entire scouting/drafting process outside of Madden with superior CPU roster AI, global attribute editing (ESPN gamers will know how this can be equally if not more impacting than slider editing), quick fixes for the simulated stat engine via global coach sliders, the ability to turn owner mode and salary cap off (*shrug* some people might want to), custom team franchises, player stat editing, score/record editing (someone has already created a Franchise at the 1st offseason stage with correct draft order), contract editing and editing other attributes you don't have access to (morale, age, years pro, tendancy etc). There is probably heaps more i'm forgetting.

As mentioned, football-freaks.com is the place for Madden PC.

Re: Madden on PC

Can anyone tell me if the CPU offensive AI is better on the PC version?

On XBOX, the passing is often terrible for the CPU. Turning off the cone passing for the CPU helps somewhat but I still sub-50% passing performances too often. On 05, the CPU would regularly pass for 60-70%.

Regardless, I think I'll pick the game up tonight seeing as how it's at such a low price now.
