Hard time starting Madden.

I went to play some Madden 360 today and when I closed the tray the screen went black then come up with the "You must place this disc in a Xbox 360 to play." or something like that and it was written in like 7 different languages. I have had my system for a month and had absolutly no problems until this. After the third time of ejecting it and reclosing the tray the game played fine. Anyone else have this problem before and should I be concerned that maybe my system is going bad? This is the only game this has happened to me on as well, maybe it is just the game?

I don't own an XBOX360, but I bought a PS2 during its launch window and had similar problems with it.

I would recommend that you both try the same copy of the game on different XBOX360s (if that's possible) and try a different copy of the game (rent one from the video store or borrow it from a friend or something) before getting concerned with your console. If you are having no other problems with any other game, the 360 itself should be fine.

i got scared when i heard alot about the overheating problems. does your 360 sound as loud as an air conditioner when running? mine scares me sometimes

My system is actually really quite other than the disc drive I speeding up I dont hardly hear anything. I did not have any problem play Madden later that day either.

This happens all the time when I leave my NBA 2k6 disc in the console after shutting it off. When I go back and turn the console back on I get the same error message about 4/10 times. My solution is when Im done playing each game, exit to the 360 Dash and remove the game.

Before playing any game, I always let the 360 boot to the dash 1st, then I put the game disc in and let it go from there.
