Next Gen Madden 07 for PS3

With the news this week of the PS3 officially not being released till this November instead of this spring, does anyone think or know if it Madden 07 will be a launch title for the system or will it even make it to the PS3 this year. I would think probably because the 360 came out in November and Madden made it on to the new XBox, but I haven't heard any word for the new one for the PS3. For that matter what about other sports titles like NBA Live,NBA 2K, will they make those on the PS3 this year also?

I would go out on a limb and say It won't make it to the PS3 this year. Who am I though.

It will definately be a launch tittle, because it will likely be a direct port of the 360 madden. THat and to launch a system without a viable sports lineup is just bad bussiness. Sports gamers make up the vast majority of casual gamers that these systems have to satisfy, Every person i know with a 360 has madden and maybe just now is buying dead or alive or something. Sports games are systems sellers. You know that the 360 will have a new madden, you know that the 360 will drop its price, so you now that the PS3 will need a madden to increase its sales

It'll be there at launch along with a slew of EA games. It's the same situation as Madden 2002. That launched at the proper time on PS2, then in November came to the Xbox and Gamecube.

The real question would be, will NCAA Football 07 make it to the PS3? I doubt NCAA will, but Madden for sure.

I would think it has to come out, when PS3 comes out.

People like me are waiting for PS3, but if Madden don't come out this year(07)... I may get Xbox 360.

And that response right there is exactly why Sony will sign EA up to include madden in the launch lineup.

The PS2 launched w/ Madden 01 around the same time. I don't see why the PS3 wouldn't considering how many copies it is bound to sell.

Not selling Madden would be like throwing money in a barrel and lighting it on fire.
