I will preface this by saying that I haven't really been a big fan of Madden Football since 2002.
Earlier, I was all set to buy this game until I heard that Create-A-Player and alternate uniforms weren't in the game. However, I recently had a chance to scoop it up for $30, so I did.
Well, I am very pleased to say I like the game very much. I wish there were alt uniforms and that I could put myself in the game, but for $30, that's not a deal-breaker. I consider the graphics to be jaw-dropping beautiful, and I have a standard TV. Some of my fellow 2K fanatics have said that the current gen 2k football title's graphics are as good. No way, say I.
I think the commentary is very good; I like the radio announcer much better than Madden.
I like it all - the animations, the fluid movement; it's all great.
Two things bother me:
(1) it seems a bit sluggish compared to NFL 2K5.
(2) Who is that strange-looking dude they expect me to pretend is Kurt Warner? AARGH! I hope they do a better job on Kurt for 07.
But overall, this 2k nut gives the game a score of "9.0, since I paid $30".
I wouldn't have bought the game for $60, since so many things I like are missing, but if I had, not knowing that stuff was missing beforehand, I would have to give the game a 7.6, for sheer disappointment in not having those features.

It's a phenomenal game for 30 bucks! I was busting nuts on my 2k5 disk and still loved Madden 360 for the first month despite the lack of features. It's just missing too much to keep me playing for the next 3 years but isn't that what EA wants you to do, get rid of your sh*t so you buy next years version. It's called Marketing 101. Those muther f8ck*rs do not care about gamers, the know you will buy Madden for the reincarnation of the 3DO, we are stupid football fiends. Point blank!
