I might pre-order it this week. I wasn't planning on, but just in case.

I have mine pre-ordered, really isnt a point to pre-ordering a game, unless your doing the midnight thing. Most case you have to have a pre-order to get it that night.

This will be the first year that I don't preorder the game. I figure I'll be able to pick up a copy from some local store.
Why people don't preorder is beyond me, you have a reserved copy and don't have to deal with rushing all over town to find a store that has one in stock.

I have bought Madden on launch day every year since the Sega Genesis days. In all that time, I have never once had to go to more than one store to get it.

Yeah, it's a pain down here in South Florida as well--if you want it at Midnight anyway.....Otherwise I wouldn't have preordered. I'm going to have to check out this Outpost place that's getting mentioned on this board though.

There is absolutely no need to place a pre-order for a game as popular as Madden. Do you seriously believe that stores are going to sell out right away? Think how many copies every single store gets in to accomodate for the demand. There will be no "rushing all over town". I can pick a store from no less than 12 different ones within an 8 mile radius of my home and work, and each one will have plenty of copies in stock. We aren't talking about some specialty genre game like Katamari Damacy or something, where a store will get maybe 3 or 4 copies in.
