PS3 version will have gang tackling?

If the person from MaddenMania who actually went to Community Day specifically heard the producer of the game state that gang-tackling would be in the current PS3 '07 version and all future versions of the Xbox360 versions, how is that "not gonna happen." Its okay to be in denial if you have an Xbox360 and are angry that its not in the current version coming out, but dont' just make a statement such as "Nope, not gonna happen" when the statement has obviously been clearly made true by the producer for the game.

It is probably not going to be in the game at all

That's a little much. Although I do think with this new information (if proven true by other sites as well) would be a very good sale booster for the PS3 version as well as a little more incentive to buyers who are Madden fans that plan on getting a PS3. Makes the launch titles for the system look a little better I suppose.

Seems like according to producer David Ortiz ("BIG PAPIIIII!!!!!), Tim's suggestion might have been false. Or maybe Tim wasn't allowed to suggest anythign about it. We'll see soon enough I suppose, because an announcement like this will have most of the major gaming sites researching the details.

Why do you think they specifically only have gang-tackling for the PS3 this year? Its another one of those small features that will get a few peoples panties in a bunch, and will encourage them to purchase the PS3 title.

Although yes, 50% is high, but honestly, with so many madden freaks (who have cried and cried, year in and year for this feature) its not far from the truth.

Gang tackling would turn off many casual players so EA probably will not even try to put it in the game.

The Madden freaks are not the casual consumer who buys Madden, they are a small sample of people who buy Madden every year. This is why it is not in the game already. The people who want gang tackling buy Madden anyway without it so there is no incentive to put it in the game and it could turn away some casual buyers.
