Is the lead block all reward & no risk?

I just see FB's knocking over Linebackers & lineman like they are lightweights..What are the risks when doing it..

Good question. I know in one of the videos the guy tried to do a cutblock with his FB and missed - basically falling on his face while the defender drilled the HB in the backfield. I'd assume there's a timing issue with it - you miss your block, your running back is toast.

I think no matter what this feature turns out to be like, I don't see myself using it very often...if ever. I enjoy using the RB too much to let the AI make the decisions while I try and make a hole for him.

I'm sure some are looking forward to this. I'm just not one of them.

I am in the same boat, I don't see this as a feature I will make much use of.

That's kinda what I was thinking when I first heard about it. Now instead of the dumb CPU fullback trying to block the wrong dudes, are we gonna have the CPU running back making the wrong decisions all the time when we try to block for him?

Re: Is the lead block all reward & no risk?

I believe this is the first time I have ever heard people complaining about having too much control in a football game.

My understanding is that the user can switch from the blocker to the ballcarrier at any point (there will be a matrix-esque slowdown to allow the user to orient himself), so I think the notion that there will be a problem with ballcarriers missing the holes created by the user is unfounded.
