can you cancel pre orders??

I paid in full at Ebgames 2 weeks ago, but I am most likely going to get the game for 47.99 at circuit city, so can I cancel my pre order and get my money back the next day or so?

If you paid cash then yes. If you traded games for your preorder and they were part of any special promotion toward Madden you'll lose any trade-in bonuses.

If it was just a money transaction then you can get your money back provided they aren't short on cash i.e. "start of the business day for them". The best time to cancel your preorder would be later in the day when hopefully they have enough cash in the register to pay you back.

Be prepared for the hard sell as in putting towards the strategy guide or preordering something else. I know all this cause to of my buds are store managers at two EB locations. Upper management is leaning on them to make their 3 preorders per day quotas.

cool thanks, I hope Wal Mart puts Madden out on the shelves in the morning before I go to school. I will do a price match with the Circuit city ad for 47.99

Depends on manager. Its a manager's decision, but yes they can do it. If there is a CC real close, they should, but if it is not a competitor, you will need to bitch a little more.

Circuit City are advertised in this Sundays paper at $10 off any version i.e. PS2 $37.99, 360 $47.99. That is how you can get business, but you might have to wait couple of days after the 22nd...
