Uh, no sh*t. No one ever said the engine was changing, but the controller will change the gameplay in the sense that it will take an entirely different skill set to play the game well. And other than the incorrect term "wildly," that's what has me jazzed.
To me, it will be more fun and require more skill to control how hard and far I move my arm to throw a pass then simply worry about how hard I press a button.
The Wii will make gaming more immersive for me. Like you, I wonder if Madden might be a bit complex with the Wii controller. But I think it will become intuitive after an early learning curve.
I know the Wii isn't for everyone. But then again, I was someone who really enjoyed First Person Football in NFL 2K5 simply because it was a new, fresh way of playing console football.
The Wii is different. It's fresh. It appears more immersive. That excites me more than another generation of button pushing with prettier visuals.
Take care,
PK
