Anyone else here passing on buying Madden 07?

I've decided to pass on it because I've been reading some of the most blatant cop-out short-cuts in the new game like Missing 3rd and 4th round draft picks on the roster, players who don't look like themselves (Reggie Bush) and that the update to "resolve" all of this is September 5th.

I really don't feel like forking out $59.99 (Canadian) to sit on a game for 3 weeks before I "might" be able to play it when an update comes out. I also don't feel like doing what I've done for the past 3 years, which is spend 10's of hours going through every teams roster the first few days I get it and adding draft picks and fixing the teams. In hindsight it was just a massive waste of time just to be able to play the game. Too much work that in reality, EA should have been doing.

If it was up to me EA would release Madden a few weeks later, just to ensure the quality of the Rosters and attributes of the players were correct. But I guess it's all about money.

So my Madden Collection will stay as it is...2003, 2004, 2005. Fin.

It was a good run, but the quality just isn't there anymore I feel.

A definite pass. This is a no brainer. The IGN review was dead on. The game is just like 06 for Xbox. EA simply mailed it in again and put out a subpar game. No surprise. The kids will buy this game because they were told to by marketers and EA will think their game is amazing when it posts numbers.

I will stick to modded NFL 2k, which EA has yet to touch even 2 years later.

if 4th round draft picks are your concern, then that happens every year. those guys are added in roster updates.

I agree with SoMiss...the rosters will be put out nicely on the 5th with everyone's roster the way it should be....I can only hope they fix the shoes like they did a couple years ago with Philly.

I am on the fence. I already own NCAA 07 and from what I am reading Madden 07 is pound for pound the same game. Sure it has a few things that NCAA doesn't but the same could be said for NCAA. I don't know if I want to pay $90 for a turf upgrade and SuperFluff mode.
