Madden vs NCAA-current gen

I picked up Madden for the xbox yesterday and am enjoying it, but I've noticed that ncaa football got some very glowing reviews from ign, gamespot, operation sports etc, while madden has not gotten the same respect. I really enjoy the ncaa series but I'm more of a pro fan, and am wondering if there are any real gameplay advantages in the ncaa game? or are they basically very similar minus the college atmosphere etc..

I have both for the current gen XBOX. I feel like the gameplay is similar. There is a different feel to the college game, but I think it's mainly due to atmosphere, game speed, etc.

One major difference is the momentum meter in NCAA. It really makes it difficult to win at times. Sometimes it's TOO DIFFICULT. Once the CPU gets its momentum going, it can be lights out and very annoying.

I think it's worth it to own both. But, of course, maybe renting NCAA would be your best bet.
