Anyone had problems with freezing (360)?

I've had my game freeze twice since I got it yesterday... once, the first time I tried to start a franchise, I just heard the system become louder than usual and it locked up, and just stayed at that screen... today, it froze near the end of a game and gave me that clean the disc with a soft cloth message...

keep in mind i have my system lying on its side on a carpeted area.... could this be causing it? should it play it standing up to prevent overheating? anyone else been getting this?

I've had a similar problem. I have yet to make it past the 1st quarter in a game in about 10 trys. The game just freezes, no error messages (dirty disk, red lights, etc.) No problems with my other games. Interestingly enough I have the same problem with the NCAA demo. Anyone have any ideas?

be prepared to take your 360 in to be replaced, you'll probably get the 3 red lights soon. I had the same problem with NCAA and exchanged my 360 for a brand new(keep in mind my original 360 was from the launch day).

Was it just NCAA giving you problems or where all your games locking up? All of my other games work just fine. I'd hate to have to replace my 360 for 1 game. I'm out of warranty so it'd end up running me $130.

I'm having the freezing problems too. It's happened 3 times to me already. Two of the times are while playing online, resulting in two losses against very beatable people. I've NEVER had any previous freezing problems.

Get a replacement disk, it's the usual DDE/ freezing problem; two of my friends had the same thing happen. I don't know who to blame, MS for using such cheap lasers in both the 360 and original Xbox, or EA who seem to have more than their share of such problems, for lousy QC on the disk manufacture.

replacement disk? I don't know if Walmart will let me exchange the game...

its too late, ur 360 has something burnt inside. should have kept it off the carpet
