I think its all about swatting. I press A on passes I feel I cant pick off. (Streaks, Deep Corners etc.) And only use Y to intercept on passes I feel I can have a chance at. Thats what I do. It helps IMO.

One thing i learned is to make sure your timing is right, i have Current gen timing but on the 360 you have to press the button alot earlier to get the player to react on time

Put pressure on the passer and maybe go w/ a 3 deep zone... or you can go w/ a cover 2 zone... if you do that, make sure you bump the receivers to give the safetys extra time to get to the sidelines.
