Two questions - players sticking, and game freezing

My last two have frozen with "disc unreadable"

I'm wondering if it's just me. I don't see anyone else here mentioning it - but, maybe they didn't think anything of it but a random freeze.

I'm having a very annoying problem. Sometimes my receivers "stick" in place while they're running.

I just had a huge play that I needed to get - and failed... why? because I lead my receiver who, if he'd kept running would have gotten it, and probably gained big yards... instead he keeps doing his running motion, but stuck in the same spot until the ball hit the ground, then he started moving again. Almost felt like the computer decided I shouldn't make that play...
