Improved Version for Delayed Euro Release?

I don't know how many people outside of North America frequent these forums, but many European madden fans were pretty pissed to find out that the 360 release, orginally planned for the 24th and 25th of August, had been postponed for at least two weeks. EA declined to issue any sort of press release or anything and even the stores didn't find out until this week, when the expected shipments failed to show up.

The silence from EA has been deafening, but word on the street (or more accurately, the interweb) is that the postponement has nothing to do with the delays in translations (European versions usually only have native language manuals, the game itself is in English) or in porting to the PAL system...
Most people believe that EA is trying to fix some of the more obvious bugs (HOF players, fatigue etc.) before releasing the game outside of North America. The theory goes that EA would have liked to delay all 360 versions of the game, but due to the marketing blitz and the whole maddenoliday thing they couldn't do so in the US and so had to release a rushed, buggy version. Since madden hardly receives any marketing outside of the US, they didn't have the same constraints and could afford to push it back.

Personally, I don't know what to believe. This just as well could be a logistical thing or a problem with the PAL version. If it is true that EA will release an improved version outside of America, then I doubt it will be done in two weeks, in which case everyone can expect even longer delays.
If the theory is true, then it would certainly help explain why some of the most obvious bugs made it to the 360 US retail version.
