It's just not sophisticated enough (PS2).

For instance, I'm on D, I force a fumble, recover the fumble, but then I fumble it myself and the offense recovers my fumble...so there are 2 fumbles on the play.

So of course, I want to challenge the fumble that I made, but when I "challenge the fumble" the CPU decides that I am challenging the fumble I forced. Well, I didn't want to challenge that fumble, I wanted to challenge the fumble the CPU forced against me. Anyway, you get the point. The CPU needs to be smarter in those instances, or give me an option such as "Challenge Eagles Fumble" or "Challenge Redskins Fumble."

Another instance - my WR catches a ball out of bounds, Micheals says "the catch was made out of bounds" but then the CPU challenges the catch. The call on the fields stands, there was never a catch made (in bounds) so the CPU wins the challenge and is not charged for a Timeout. But they lose a challenge, as there was no need for them to challenge the play in the first place.

Also, there are times when you might want to challenge if the catch was made vs. the spot of the ball. A player makes a shoestring catch against you and makes a first down by inches. Do you want to challenge the ball spot or the catch? We should be able to make that choice.

What do you guys think?

2K's replay system was awesome, they need something like that in the game.

The first thing they need to do is to make the correct call after reviewing the replay. I have plenty of instances where my opponent didn't make the catch inbound, yet the refs called it a good catch after the review and let the play stand. I think whether the call will stand or get over-turned is a completely random affair.

They also need to add this for Online Games.

Yeah challenge sucks because I try to challenge the spot of the ball when the WR catch the ball then goes out of bounds and they challenge the catch. It doesn't give you options of what to challenge....

They also need to add more than just fumble, catch in and out of bounds, and spot of ball chalenge. Like 2K they need:

-QB arm moving forward
-Incomplete pass vs. fumble
-Catch made vs. ball hit the ground

although it does have to be refined (360) i am noticing it working a lot better this year, example, actual fumbles being called fumbles, close calls on catches actually being called a catch etc.
