How do I get the radio play by play instead of Madden/Michaels

I just rented Madden 2007 for the 360 on Friday. I find the radio announcing feature to be substandard at best, and annoying at worst. I turn it off because it actually detracts from the ambience of the game's "liveness." I wish I had the option for the regular T.V. booth crew, as deadpan as it's been over the years.

i said this over at gamefaqs. it funny. ppl complain about madden and al michaels saying that they were too repetative and boring. then ea finally does something and take them out and ppl still complain. i think it just ppl just try to find way to complain cuz it ea. i mean look at 2k there at fake announcers and they got boring after a while.

it seems u can never please ppl. u either complain when you have then when ppl listen and they take it away u complain again saying u want it back

They need to get rid of Michaels and bring Summerall back. Either that or get the old SEGA Sportstalk guy from way back. If it is going to be bad, make it entertainingly bad.

I hate to come across as a chronic complainer, but I've never been really pleased with the announcing in the Madden series. As banal as the announcing was in 2002-2005, I still prefer Michaels and Madden in the booth to the radio announcer in 2007 360. It doesn't even sound like the announcer is at the same game I'm playing. I know they're trying to replicate the sensation of listening to an AM radio, but it just sounds so tinny!

I never complain about the quality of the announcing and commentary in the NCAA series. It's superb, IMO. I wish they could put together the NFL equivilent in the Madden series.

I'd personally like to see EA find a way to incorporate other announcers into the game, Dierdorf, Summerall, Simms, Gumbel, Theisman, etc....


Hearing Madden and Michaels is not bad, just after a few years, and not much new in the commentary, makes you wish for somethng more.

Being that they do have the ESPN license they could easily inlcude all ESPN and ABC announcers... Must admit I did always complain about Madden/MIchaels being repetitive and boring, they made me miss those two guys with the radio guy... Was a nice novelty for about one half then just lame....
