Corrupt files? (PS2)

I've heard that when saving Franchise or Superstar a lot of people are getting corrupt files.

One explanation for this that I've heard is this:

If you quit in the middle of a franchise game and save after you exit, it will corrupt. I don't know if this has been confirmed, but I'm curious to know if this has happened to anyone else.

Yeah that happened to me the other day, so that was probably the post you read, but i also got the corrupt files message yesterday with out quitting in game, its wierd because i just reset my system and it was back to normal. Another time i saved and then exited my franchise then i went right back to load it and there was nothing there at all.

Hmm...I've read from other sites that people have done the same thing: reset the system and its back. I wonder if that may possibly be the fix.
