Did I say you were trolling? Or even doing anything wrong? No. My point was, you're not quite as unbiased when it comes to Madden as you seem to be making yourself out to be.

Ok, point taken.
The interesting thing about this thread is that I provided a perspective of whether this amount (of sales) was good or bad and this question I posed, was not even discussed.

Re: Madden scores $100 million hit

I don't enjoy Madden all that much but I still play it because it's the only thing out there right now and I'm a football addict. Madden only makes a few improvements each year because it can afford to do so, and though I as well would appreciate an open market and free competition, if we are to play a fully NFL and NFLPA licensed game then we are stuck with Madden or NFL Street so I deal with it.

I don't think it's either. I don't think it matters, if we are talking about impact to the license deal. Madden is going to sell a gazillion copies no matter what. There's no way EA risks losing that cash cow, nor does the NFL risk losing the fat paycheck every year. The license is here to stay for the forseeable future and imo, will be renewed for some time to come.

Which is why I'm considering Madden for the PC. I've heard real good things about it and the ability to Mod makes it attractive to me.
