This comment has no relation to your uninformed and unintelligent post you made before. You're comparing a system that is out to one that hasn't been released yet and largely built it's hype on CG videos parading as gameplay screens.

Move along. If EA pulls off true gang-tackling at ALL in Madden on these next gen machines, I will be very surprised. They rebuilt their Madden engine and made it less versatile than the old one. I wouldn't expect anything more than scripted animations, which EA has shown is the route they like to go with all their games, not just sports games.

Exactly...by its mere discription (a third guy coming in to complete the play), it cannot be a scripted play.

Who knows if they really do implement this, but if they do, then it sounds like 2 CPU guys have wrapped up the ball handler, then I come in and deliver the "play-deciding" blow.

There may be some kind of canned "gang-tackle" animation for after you engage the other 2 defenders and ball handler, but the act of directing your man over in the direction of those 3 players and pressing "square" to tackle is actually playing the game, not scripting.

We'll see if they really can do this or not.

Exactly. The way it's being described is the same exact thing 2K had.

Whether or not it's implemented properly is another story. One which no one knows at this point because no one has played the game (not to mention had a chance to even use a PS3).
