I witnessed a form of gang-tackling tonight for the pc version. A defender stood the ball carrier up (Dunn) and then I came by (MLB) and just popped him, pretty neat-o....don't know if that's been stated before.

Also, I'm totally digging the ability to break tackles on the pc version.

I know it's on current-gen, too. Sometimes you can tap and the speed burst button and be able to break the tackle.

And it's funny davep mentioned this because I had the same thing happen on the PS2 tonight.

The framework is right there for EA to use - during one of these moments where the ball carrier and the defender are locking horns, there should be 6 animations - the ball carrier breaking free, the defender pulling him down himself, and 4 animations for if another defender comes in from all 4 major angles. It's so simple and yet somehow requires a PS3 to do :P

You can break tackles and also make tackles on defense. Whenever you just run into somebody with the ball, you just kind of hold him and drag him down. If you keep pressing X, it will make it less likely for that ball carrier break away from your tackle.
