QB Stats Overrated on XBOX (360)

Just a thought of mine. I see how everyone is angry about the fatigue issue along with some other things (don't get me wrong cause I am as well) but there is a huge issue that I have yet to see posted on these message boards which is rare in it self.

I don’t know how many of you guys have started playing a franchise cause the rosters and the patch isn’t out yet but I started one just for the heck of it. I’m in 2013 and there are some alarming things happing. First QB’s don’t throw nearly enough picks while simming. Mark Brunell threw 36 Td’s and 1 Int one year. Are you kidding me? Anyways, the average Td to Int ratio is awful. Now if this was just the issue it would suck but still be playable. However, this small thing causes adverse affects.

You guys all know how EA’s player progression works. They take a combination of individual stats and team offense/defense stats. With the QB’s being so good it makes all offense players better while defenses are getting shredded and those players (even if they had pro bowl individual seasons) are getting worse. In 2013 the offensive players are quit a bit better then defensive players. Team offenses are rated between 96-85 while team defenses are rated between 85-75. That’s a whole 10 point gap between best offense and best defense. The best defense in the league for the 2012 season held opponents to 25.5 ppg. 25.5 PPG!!!!!! You have got to be joking.

My point is that in 6 short seasons my franchise has turned into Arena Football. The worst part being that I have no clue on how to fix it. It basically sucks and will only get worse as I play more seasons. Just wanted to vent some and see what you guys think about this one. Thanks for listening.

To be honest, no. I never play more than 3 or 4 seasons in any particular franchise, because I just get bored of the same team after a while.

It's hard for me to believe that the game still has Mark Brunell playing in 2013, at the age of 43.

Mark Brunell threw his 36 TD's to 1 Int in 2007. I'm currently in 2013. My main point is that the QB's throw way to few picks and 3/4 of them have ratings of 100 or higher.

I find it awesome that nobody at EA simmed 30 years of franchise and asked "Why is every game 63-55 now instead of 21-10?" I haven't gotten past season two, but now I'm tempted to sim 10 years.
