Re: Is there a way to play Madden PC in widescreen?
I personally haven't had to change any ini file directly. Once you get to the main menu screen, the are menu options at the bottom right of the screen, just go Settings->System Settings->Video and there is a "Video Resolution" setting. I have that set at 1600X900X32, which is widescreen.Comment

I found this at football-freaks.com so the credit should go to the author of that post. http://football-freaks.com/forums/in...&hl=widescreen
"You can force madden to run at any resolution your video card and monitor support as long as it doesn't exceed 1600x1200.
You have to edit the madden.ini file in your My Documents/Madden NFL 07 folder. Open the file with notepad and scroll down to these two lines and change the horizontal value to 1440 and vertical value to 960.
Video Resolution Horizontal [320-1600] = 1440
Video Resolution Vertical [200-1200] = 960
If your setup supports that resolution that's all you have to do. If you change the resolution and it just reverts to 640x480 then your computer isn't setup yet to recognize 1440x960.
If you look into your video settings and don't see 1440x960 resolution as an option then you have to add a custom resolution or madden will just run at 640x480 instead of 1440x960.
After editing the ini just run the game (don't go into video settings) and take a screen shot and check the value of the resolution that way to make sure it's running at 1440x960. Because 1440x960 isn't a default value within madden, any time you go into system settings it will reset your resolution to 640x480."
Like I said, I just c & p from that thread so all credit should go to the author, SillyUncle.Comment
