Time in pocket?

Does anyone know how much time in the pocket your average quarterback should have in 3, 5, and 7 step drops to throw the ball?

Specifically, in a four man pass rush v. five man blocking line?

I've been doing a lot of slider tests on time in pocket. I have noticed that when the User does a 7-step drop against a four man pass rush, and has only his offensive line blocking, he has about 4-5 seconds.

The wierd thing is, the sliders do not seem to affect this. For example, with CPU Break Block at 100, and User Pass Block at 0, it's averaging the same time as with CPU Break Block at 0 and User Pass Block at 100.

EDIT: to be more descriptive...this is without scrambling. Just dropping back and waiting for the pass rush.

Yup. All Madden. Again and again 4 v. 5 man rush User has all day. Though I think a 7step drop should buy you more time...not this much time.

Re: Time in pocket?

It can be a combination of all depending on what type of play you call.

Sometimes, I take a one step drop and throw and sometimes I take 7 step drop and have forever to find a open man.
