I'll bet we will never hear of the downloadable alt jerseys from EA again. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if they sent out a memo to employees warning that if any reps discuss the alt jerseys wiith customers, they'll be escorted from the building, lined up against a wall, shot by firing squad, and then be fired. Yes, in that order.

I'd take solid gameplay and no glitches over any downloadable content in the future. It is clear we won't get anything. In fact, if this becomes a pissing battle, look for EA to shaft the 360. If that were to happen, MS has got to sue those bastages.

Well then that explains it. That's why we haven't seen downloadable jerseys on either NCAA or Madden. Nice job, Microsoft!

Now, what will be the repercussions of this move? Does the PS3 have any sort of "Marketplace" like XBox Live does, where people can purchase these jerseys?

If so, I bet the earlier poster is right, EA will strip them from all other versions of the game so that they can charge for them on PS3 & XBox 360.

Dirty dirty dawgs...

You know, a lot of people bash EA, and many give them the benefit of the doubt, but what they tried to do with Jersies was a deliberate attempt to exploit the Marketplace. They are indeed "dirty dawgs, " and hopefully it's a wake up call to them and the consumer that tolerates this stuff.

It's cool that MS laid down the law. That policy actually makes alot of sense and protects their market (360 owners) from exploitation. It also explains the deafening silence coming form EA's headquarters regarding the downloadable content.

Hmmm...

Good. MS, slap 'em around some more please.

I'd like to bring attention to the fact that MS has been pretty good about trying to make 360 owners happy lately. It seems like they "get" it, unlike their major competitor. Extending the warranties on those launch systems was exhibit A IMO.

I think the ps3 has a marketplace thing too. Hopefully they have the same rule so that EA just stops it altogether, which probably won't happen but it is nice to dream.
