Question for PS3 Madden owners

i will be getting a ps3 soon and i am curious about madden for this system. do any of you who own it and enjoy sim style games actually feel that the new ratings have a lot to do with how players play. i would love to actually see the new ratings make players feel more unique. i know many people do not like the new gameplay but if these ratings actually work well it seems like a huge step in the right direction. i am talking about these new next gen ratings and i will show what i guess they are

TRUCKING - i would guess purely for truck stick power moves
ELUSIVENESS - ability to get out of tackles but less power
BCVISION - i think this is like blocking vision so a RB can see holes better
STIFFARM - power of a stiff arm
SPINMOVE - speed or success of a spin
JUKEMOVE - ability to shake people before a tackle
IMPACTBLOCKING - running defenseman over
RUNBLOCKSTRENGTH - the push a lineman, FB, TE, or anyone gets on a run block
RUNBLOCKFOOTWORK - the length a run block is sustaned for
PASSBLOCKSTRENGTH - the push a lineman, FB, TE, or anyone gets on a pass block
PASSBLOCKFOOTWORK - the length a pass block is sustaned for
POWERMOVES - ability to bull rush on d blitzing or bump well at CB. Maybe an affect on trucking people
FINESSEMOVES - ability to speed rush on d blitzing or swat balls well at CB. Maybe an affect on highlight stick
BLOCKSHEDDING - pretty obviously the ability to get away from a block
PURSUIT - how well the ball is followed once in a RB or WRs hands
PLAYRECOGNITION - how well a Run or Pass is recognized
MANCOVERAGE - how well they play in man coverage
ZONECOVERAGE - how well they play in zone coverage

Re: Question for PS3 Madden owners

The new ratings seem to have an effect...I had a lineman with lowsy footwork and he kept giving up sacks and good D-lineman kept getting by him so I picked up a dude with just that (good footwork) and it made a difference.

Just for the record, I hated the new Madden when I first played it but now LOVE it. It took while to get used to it but it seems more realistic....it almost feels like a tighter controlled version of the old 2K series...that's what it reminds me of.

I get very realistic results playing the computer on the "All-Star" level with my defensive sliders bumped up to 65....PS3 version.

Re: Question for PS3 Madden owners

i'm also curious if the RB1-RB2 slider actually does anything in this version of the game and if the stats for the teams turn out mildly realistic in franchise mode if you sim a year. any help would really be appreciated
