What happened to the fans?

I mean the fans went back to the PS2/XBOX generation. I don't think they would dub down the fans just for some pictures. It's more to this that we will probably know later on. I just found it weird.

maybe they want 60 fps or whatever. Honestly, EA sucks with the crowds in madden..they're horrible. If they cut it back and made the game smooth and actually put chain gangs and proper refs on the field, then I'm for it.

This is EA, they took it out to add something.

I hear that also but why do they have to downgrade in order to make the game work at 60FPS? If EA has to downgrade the fans to make the game run smoother than so be it but it seems fishy.

Is 60FPS that serious that they have to downgrade an important aspect such as the fans?

You've got to think that it takes alot of processing power to create 90,000+ (at least in FedEx Field) completely polygonal fans. If they improve the framerate, add more individuals on the sidelines, and the refs and chaingang are in, I'd think it's a good decision.

Also, you gotta give EA credit that they've done some impressive things with their player models as the progress on next-gen, even if it isn't the quality that they orginally promised.

(Note: I still don't like how the helmets look on the player's head, 'cause it still looks like they squashed the helmets on. But, the level of detail on the uni's is extremely impressive. )
